Drums

I've been playing drums ever since I was a grade school punk back in Chicago. Back then I studied orchestral percussion and jazz. As you can probably imagine, by the time I graduated high school I was really burned out. It was hard to live and breathe that type of music when everybody else my age was rockin'.

After 3 years doing anything but music, I joined the US Marines and auditioned for the Marine Corps Band. Off I went, traveling the world and playing -- you guessed it -- Jazz, orchestra, and marching band music.

Eventually, I got married, left the Corps, and moved to Frederick. A couple weeks after moving here, I auditioned for the Crowded. It's been an interesting quest incorporating jazz drumming into rock and roll ever since.
